This is PURE GENIUS!
And I’m not exaggerating! This is a BOOK – I wish I had a lovely bound volume so I could have it on my lap and flip through it, laughing and pointing and sharing it with friends at a dinner party.
Phaedon Press needs to come a-callin!
Thanks for the pleasure!

Thanks Germi.
Glad you liked it.
I have been meaning to get them all together under one roof, I was surprised at how many comparison shots have materialized over the last year and a half of blogging. Some of them still make me laugh, especially the Giant Timber Bamboo root / squid man and the Planet of the Apes moth…I would love to make it into a funny coffee-table book someday, remember Kramer’s one on Seinfeld? With the flip out legs? :-)
Happy you found the page.

Fantastic photos, and your garden puts my East Side garden to shame. Keep up the good work!

Thanks Chris.
Lets see what makes it through this winter!

What a great idea! I was LOL at some of the comparisons. Do these comparisons come right to your mind? It would take me forever to compile all of those. I agree with the first comment it would make a great book! -Amy

6 ESP December 12, 2009 at 3:34 pm

Hi Amy, a few of them still make me laugh when I see them again, and yes they do come right to mind. I never think about it, it either “looks like…” or it doesn’t!
It would be really fun to do a book!
Thanks.

Definately The Donald’s hair! You are so fantastic at pointing out these similarities! “Attention to detail” seems to be a class I missed.

thanks for the fun!

Hi Cheryl.
For some reason that one floors me!
Thanks for dropping into the insanity.

I think the term is thinking outside the box! The way you put compatible things together is BRILLIANT! and the fact that you had or could find all the images, is amazing.

10 ESP June 23, 2010 at 8:16 pm

Hi Kari.
Most of these images come together really fast, I usually already have the comparison shot already in my head after I download the shots from my camera…just a case of finding the most appropriate image online!
Thanks for your compliments.
ESP.
